Ford Junior Tudor Sedan De Luxe 126A 1,2 — 1935

A beautifully restored and charming Junior in a very attractive color combination. As far as we can tell, it has had only two Swedish owners. Only a simple start-up service is recommended before taking it out on the road.

Description

This car was sold abroad in June 1935 and imported to Sweden in 2017. It is left-hand drive, so it most likely did not come from England. Fully restored by a Ford enthusiast from Västerås, it was registered in Sweden in August 2017 and has seen only limited use since then. The car is in fantastic condition, with only minor details needing attention. It does not currently start, but with a new battery, the engine turns over nicely. Fresh fuel, new oils, and a brake inspection are all that’s required. A charming car for relatively little money — and a rare sight on Swedish roads, with only 10 Juniors listed in the national vehicle registry.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Does not currently start, but it fires and “almost” comes to life. All technical systems are said to be functional, although we have not managed to get it running ourselves. Instruments have not been tested for this reason. The interior door handles are missing but can be purchased from England for about 1,000 SEK. The underside is in exceptionally good condition, and we have not found any rust on the car. According to our contact, there is a minor leak at the exhaust manifold. A jack, starting crank, and a key for the working lock are included.

  • Interior condition:

Newly upholstered interior made to original specifications, according to the owner. This includes the seats, headliner, and carpets.

  • Exterior condition:

The paintwork has held up very well, as the car has been stored indoors in a heated garage. Chrome, glass, and light fittings are in good usable condition. The rubber seals are older and show some cracking. Tires from 2017 with good tread depth.

  • General condition:

A delightful car full of charm. The color scheme complements the interior beautifully. A very enjoyable classic for relatively little money — sure to turn many heads at vintage car events around the country.
