"It runs and drives well, as all two-strokes do when properly warmed up. The engine starts easily, shifts gears smoothly, has good brakes and tyres, and is inspection/MOT exempt, so it's ready to drive home."

Description

The current owner purchased the car 21 years ago in the Linköping area. The owner adores Saab's and still owns two more that he is restoring. Over the previous 21 years, the car had always been used as a summer daily driver and had been fixed and repaired as needed. The bodywork was mostly welded on the underbody sills and inner wings in the engine bay. Some door dents, blisters, paint scratches, and rust are present in the lower inner door edges and front panel around the blinkers. Even with these issues it passed it final inspection/MOT its fun and usable classic that ready to drive home and has a reasonable price. Perfect car for someone looking to enter into the classic car world on a budget.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

During the test drive, the car starts easily, runs fine, and drives smoothly in the engine, gearbox, and brakes. The owner will properly install the air intake, which only required a bolt. The car is tax and inspection/MOT exempt for the rest of its life. Good tyres and wheels.

  • Interior condition:

The interior is complete and in good condition, with a good seats, headliner, and rubber mat. There are some marks and wear on the door cards and handles, as well as a cracked vinyl dashboard cover. A nice old radio/cassette player with speakers is included.

  • Exterior condition:

It has older welding work, dents on the doors, blister and rust blister on the lower door edges, and a front panel around the blinkers, as mentioned above. The paintwork is in ok condition, with scratches and marks. I'd drive it as is and maybe renovate it later.

  • General condition:

It's a great classic daily driver that can be renovated or driven as is, has a reasonable price, and is simple to maintain.
