Description
In recent years, the car has not been driven but after a careful awakening with service, a new fuel pump, front suspension parts and tyres etc., it is now on the road again and inspected without any complaints. Unfortunately, the instruction manuals, service manuals, etc. are missing.

Mechanical condition
Starts easily run well and shifts gears calmly. As the car has been standing for many years, it should be looked over. The Idle is somewhat high. The steering column has been looked over but an adjustment of the steering wheel should be done. The accelerator pedal has come loose. The undercarriage looks decent but some details should be examined more closely. Both the engine and automatic gearbox oil look healthy, but that too should be checked.

Interior condition
A pleasant interior with nice door cards, seats, and headliner. There is a small hole on the driver's seat, as well as some light wear.
The sunroof works but needs a little help, both when opening and closing. It probably needs to be lubricated and used. There are rubber mats on the driver's side and back seat. -
Exterior condition
The paintwork is in a sober light grey/white colour which is glossy but with some blemishes. The front wings appear to have been replaced or repainted. There are hints of rust and blisters in a few places, including the right rear side.
The glass and chrome are in good condition, with some small rubber damage on the bumper. -
General condition
A discrete premium car that has been around for nearly half a century. Although it has some patina and details that need to be fixed, it has been handled with dignity. It could be a nice classic Mercedes to look after and use for the next

Facts about the model
Insprutningen till 280 SE var ursprungligen en D-Jetronic men from årsmodell bytte man till den något enklare K-Jetronic. Modell W116 kom att tillverkas fram tom 1980, totalt 473.035 exemplar blev det. Av dessa finns drygt 1.300 exemplar kvar i Sverige idag.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
