Description
The car's first owner was a manufacturer in Varberg. When he passed away, the Mercedes was stored in a barn for many years. The car was then sold and found a new home in Karlstad, where it was also stored in a garage. The car was then sold on to once again end up in a garage in Kristinehamn. The car eventually ended up, in 1995, in Karlstad. The car was a 50th-anniversary gift to the new owner. The car was used, among other things, at his daughter's wedding, as well as driving foreign guests around Möckeln and for work trips to and from Bofors. When the man passed away, the car was sold to the last owner who used the car, among other things, for the grandchildren's school proms and at various car gatherings. The car has always been garaged, well cared for and not used in the winter by the last owner.

Exterior condition
An old repaint. There are small scratch marks in the paint and small dents in the body and bumper, see pictures. There are some rust repairs on the left side of the spare wheel well, but also in the engine compartment, see pictures. A chrome strip is missing on the front edge of the bonnet. The chrome work is in less than good condition.

Facts about the model
Daimler-Benz klassiska sexcylindriga Heckfloße W111 tillverkades mellan 1959 och 1971. Karossen som delades med fyrcylindriga 190 hade 145 millimeter längre nos för att rymma den raka 2,2-liters sexan. Panoramarutor och fenor som varit högsta mode i USA gjorde snart att bilen såg lite omodern ut och därför presenterades efterföljaren W108 redan 1965. Heckfloße levde dock kvar ändå bland annat som 230S som var instegsmodellen i S-klassen. 220S som tillverkades mellan 1960 och 1965 gick att få antingen med insprutning eller dubbla Solexförgasare.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
