Description
This motorcycle was owned by a member of the Guzzi club. That was most certainly a factor in its success. It rolled over 10,000 kilometers this summer, which Guzzi's data considers to be merely a run-in, since they normally roll approximately 40-50 thousand kilometers with regular service before undergoing a big restoration. The brakes are brand new, and it has been thoroughly maintained and inspected. The gasket between the engine and the transmission has been replaced. In the future, the front tire will need to be changed, as will the tachometer wire, which broke over the autumn. Furthermore, it is completely intact with the original paint, which has several imperfections after little over 40 years. The rear shock absorbers were updated several years ago. It is unknown if the mufflers were installed at the time of delivery. Moto Guzzi engines have been defined by an air-cooled 2-cylinder V-engine with the crankshaft aligned longitudinally since the late 1960s.

Moto Guzzi är ett italienskt motorcykelmärke som tillverkats sedan 1921. Tillkomsten av modellen SP beror på olika statliga myndigheters behov av en snabbare och modernare polismotorcyklar. Flera europeiska, afrikanska, asiatiska och amerikanska stater använde Guzzi som myndighets motorcykel. .
1976 kom Guzzis berömda 850 Le Mans. Det var en ren racerhoj för gatan men för liten så den dög inte åt polisen. Det gjorde däremot efterträdaren Le Mans 2. Den var en mildare variant på Le Mans 1. Med högre körställning lite större dyna och tank samt några andra modifikationer så blev det en SP. Det är inte känt vad SP betyder men många tror att det är en förkortning av Sport Police. Guzzis tillverkning av motorcyklar på 60-70-80 talet var ringa, man talar om något 100-tal per modell och år. Volym modellen 850 Le Mans gjordes i drygt 1000 ex emplar på 3 år.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
