Description

This Turbo 2 has a low mileage, while most others have gone far further.  Rust bubbles and flaking paint on the hood should be addressed. Because it has been replaced with a non-turbo wing, the tailgate has terrible paint. The car was pulled up on the trailer during a recent relocation and driven off, but it now refuses to start following a battery change. Everything appears to be in working order, with the exception of the petrol pump, which appears to be stopped for the time being. According to the previous owner, it had difficulties starting the car every spring when it was supposed to, but it did start after a few knocks, thus it should be replaced. According to the previous owner, the car runs great and the engine sounds great. It is an excellent choice for individuals who have wished for a CX GTI Turbo 2.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

    Bilweb Auctions has not tested it. However, prior owners reported that the fuel pump occasionally failed, which is why it needed to be replaced. That's most likely why it's not starting right now.

  • Interior condition:

    Good condition. The headliner was removed and will need to be replaced.

  • Exterior condition:

    There isn't much rust on the body. The bonnet has become rusty. The paint is flaking off. Although the tailgate has been replaced, the Turbo wing is no longer attached. Wheels made of sheet metal that lack hubcaps. Dents on the rear right wing.

  • General condition:

    A slightly degenerate Turbo 2, but one with a lot of potential. A renovation object that should be relatively simple to repair.

Facts about the model

Citroën CX är en bilmodell som tillverkades av den franska biltillverkaren Citroën åren 1974–1991. Den byggdes i totalt 1 170 645 exemplar.
Sedanmodellen tillverkades under åren 1974–1989 och kombinmodellen tillverkades fram till 1991. Komforten ansågs vara i en klass för sig jämfört med den tidens konkurrenter. CX hade en hjälpram som förband främre och bakre hjulupphängningarna. Karossen monterades sedan med gummikuddar mot hjälpramen. De flesta CX-varianter hade DIRAVI-styrning som utvecklades till föregångaren Citroën SM , som innebär att ratt och hjul inte har mekanisk förbindelse. Istället är det hydraultrycket som utgör kopplingen. Formidabel vägkänsla och självcentrering beroende på hastighet är andra finesser. En punktering i full fart på ett framhjul märks inte annat än på försämrad komfort och väggrepp – ingen sneddragning eller ryckning i ratten. Bromsar och fjädring integrerades i högtryckshydraulsystemet. CX såldes även i Sverige. 2,0-, 2,2-, 2,4- och 2,5-liters motor med och utan turbo fanns, liksom en dieselversion.

Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
