"The car runs well and has an engine bored to 2 liters. However, some minor work is needed to make it really nice."

Description

The current owner purchased the car on 87-06-28 and has thus owned it for nearly 40 years. Over the years he has used it frequently in the summertime and maintained it well. He has had the engine bored out to 2 liters and fitted a performance camshaft, so the car is really lively. About 10 years ago he disassembled it and some repair panels were replaced, after which it received a new red paint finish. Included is a number of parts that he has collected over the years.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The car runs well and is lively to drive. The charging has stopped working, so an overhaul/replacement of the generator is needed.

The owner has carried out service and repairs on an ongoing basis over the years.

  • Interior condition

Interior in used condition with flaws and wear. The seats need to be reupholstered and the door panels repaired.

  • Exterior condition

Repainted about 10 years ago from the original orange to red; the work is nicely done and looks good. However, the car has been stored in a garage where something was painted white, so the car is covered with small white specks. There is a scratch on the right rear fender. The chrome is decent with minor pitting. Painted wire wheels with good tires.

  • General condition

A wonderful summer car to tinker with in the garage during the dark winter months.
