This fine classic MG Roadster has been owned by three different car enthusiasts in Mälardalen since the 1990s before it was bought in 2020 as an exhibition car for the English department at the car museum in Härnösand. The car was reportedly restored in the mid-1990s when it was imported from California and was sun-bleached but completely rust-free. The work is professional and very well done and has held up well. The paint, sunroof, cockpit canopy, trim and parts of the interior are new. Professionally resprayed without dust particles and with a nice shine. No damage. The engine and brakes have also been refurbished and the engine is quick and lively and the brakes work well.
The front seats are reupholstered in the original leather. The car starts easily and is very pleasant to drive. The engine compartment is neat. Likewise the carpets, door panels and instruments. Good overall impression. The tyres are new and look like originals. All in all, a nice, ready-to-drive enthusiast's car where you travel in style and feel close to the road and the surroundings. According to the meter, the car has been driven 46,500 miles, which corresponds to 77,000 km.

Facts about the model
MG, Morris Garages, är ett gammat anrikt brittiskt bilmärke som upphörde i mitten av 00-talet och sedan återuppstod 2012 som en del av kinesiska SAIC Motor. MG T-Type Midget är en serie sportbilar som tillverkade av MG mellan 1936 och 1955. MG TD-modellen kom 1950 och var på många sätt en helt ny bil, där man placerat kaross och motor från företrädaren i chassit från sedan-modellen MG Y-Typ. Det innebar att bilen nu fick individuell hjulupphängning fram och kuggstångsstyrning. Karossen hade breddats för att bli rymligare. Stötfångare blev standarutrustning, liksom tallriksfälgar. Ekerfälgar fick beställas extra. TD:n var också den första MG som byggdes med ratten på vänster sida. Produktionen uppgick till 29 664 exemplar mellan 1950 till 1953. Enligt uppgifter från transportstyrelsen finns färre än 180 stycken registrerade i Sverige. Underbar klassiker som är kul att köra och lätt att underhålla. Nästan alla delar nyproduceras och mycket gammalt finns sparat och säljs från England.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
