"Good condition and well executed work."

Description

PV 544 with racing ambitions. By all accounts, the car has had a relatively calm existence in its previous life. One owner between 1967-2017. After that, the car was renovated and rebuilt to its current design. It now has a B20 engine bored out to 2.2 liters, equipped with a performance camshaft and dual Weber carburetors. The rear axle hangs in a four-link with Watt linkage and coilovers. The fuel cell is in the trunk with dual Facet Red Top electric pumps that feed fuel to a King pressure regulator in the engine compartment. The original instruments have given way to modern electronic gauges from Autometer.

The car has not been driven much since it was completed, with just over 1000 km driven in the past two years.

  • Mechanical condition:

Let's start in the engine bay: B20 engine bored to 2.2 liters. Modified cylinder head and a sharper camshaft - although the exact variant is unknown. Two Weber 45 carburetors dominate on the fuel side. The temperature is kept in check with a robust aluminum radiator and electric fan. The output is said to be 150+ horsepower. A five-speed M47 gearbox from the Volvo 940 takes the power to the rear axle.
Under the engine sits the front suspension, which has been completely renovated and updated with disc brakes. A two-circuit brake system with a reduction valve is installed. At the rear, an aluminum fuel cell tank has been added, along with the battery. Fuel supply consists of dual electric pumps and a pressure regulator. The rear axle is of the Four-link type with Watt linkage and coilovers. The ratio is 4.88:1 in the rear axle, which also has a limited-slip differential.
The electrical system is new and everything works.

  • Interior condition:

The rear seat and door panels are in very good condition, although not original to the car. Sport seats have been installed, along with modern Autometer gauges and a sports steering wheel. The painted surfaces are in very good condition, and the carpets and other interior elements are well-maintained.

  • Exterior condition:

Paint in nice condition, straight and nice body, new windshield. Rear bumper is a bit worn in the chrome. Minilite rims in very good condition. Completely rust-free body.

  • General condition:

A sturdy car with plenty of treats beneath the bonnet.
