Mechanical condition
Easy to start and the engine ran smoothly, clutch and gearbox felt reliable, as did the suspension and brakes. The car has a few years and miles behind it but felt lively and easy to drive. The underbody could not be fully inspected but both inspections and feedback from the owner indicate a well-maintained and cared for example. With that said, all respect to the fact that almost fifty years can leave its scars.
Eberspächer heater installed but function uncertain, not used by the current owner. -
Interior condition
Original interior with some wear. Accessory steering wheel cover with leather grip. Newer Panasonic stereo with speakers in the doors.

Exterior condition
Very nice paint, nice chrome, glass, wheels and tyres. The convertible top appears to be tight and in good condition but with some wear. During the photo and inspection prior to the sale, it was so cold that we did not want to fold the top down too much. The convertible top cover is missing.

General condition
A nice Beetle Cabriolet in a genuine and roadworthy condition, looking forward to another summer season where it, together with the new owner, can enjoy the countryside at a comfortable pace.

Facts about the model
De senare modellerna av VW Typ 1 blev allt motorstarkare, fick större bagageutrymme och tidstypiska inredningsdetaljer för ökad säkerhet såsom inbyggda nackstöd. Till årsmodell 1971 kom 1302 LS med 1600-motorn och 50 hkr. Till 1973 blev det 1303 LS med en helt ny instrumentbräda samt panoramavindruta. Exteriört större baklysen och tanklucka med "fingergrepp". Året efter togs de sista LS-vagnarna in till Sverige och året därpå såldes den sista nya Cabrioleten i Sverige. År 1978 slutade VW att tillverka "bubblan" i Tyskland men Karmann fortsätter att bygga Cabrioleten fram tom 1980. Trots att det var en helt annan vagn än ursprunget drygt 30 år tidigare, var det ändå en liknande känsla.
Nu knackade framtiden på dörren och det var dags för efterföljaren Golf Cabriolet men det är en helt annan historia..

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
