Description

Since acquiring the car in 2021, the current owner has made several upgrades: the wooden interior has been renovated, the front seats have been reupholstered for better comfort and to prevent leather and stitching from cracking, front seat belts have been installed, the engine bay has been generally tidied up, the cylinder head has been renovated with ground valves, a new clutch and exhaust system have been installed, a new fuel pump and electronic ignition have been added, the alternator has been replaced (with an original appearance), the brakes have been completely renovated, with renovated calipers) at the front. The clutch hydraulic system has been renovated including the master and slave cylinders. Additionally, a new spare tire, new mat in the trunk, and new speedometer cable. According to documents, 7901 Mk II models were built between 1961-1963, with 467 of them being LHD. The color combination of Black with Champagne Beige interior and manual transmission was produced in 23 examples - the RHD/LHD distribution is uncertain, but it is not an ordinary car.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Starts easily and runs smoothly. All oils, fluids, and filters have recently been changed. Three-speed manual transmission with overdrive on second and third gears. The function is the original version with a tachometer and kickdown function, which requires some getting used to and technique. The function has now been simplified for modern traffic with manual operation of the overdrive function. All original parts are still available and included. Otherwise, the car appears to be functioning well and much has been repaired. The underside is in good condition with no signs of rust damage. However, the undercarriage was not thoroughly inspected during this inspection.

  • Interior condition:

A lovely sober interior, Champagne Beige, with beautiful wood, well-preserved leather, thick carpets, pleasant lighting, and a picnic table. The headliner is also in fine condition. Of course, there are signs of use over 60 years, but a calm and dignified one. Ventilation windows front and rear.

  • Exterior condition:

Solid black paint that appears to be in original condition. Chrome and glass also appear to be original. There are scratches, a few dents on the bumper corners, and hubcaps. It cannot be ruled out that there has been some repair during its 60-year history, but it is not noticeable or visible.

  • General condition:

A pleasant classic in a British sober design with luxury ambitions, offering a restrained, calm, and stable ride. This example has a nice colour combination, has lived a quiet life, and received a thorough overhaul and update in recent years. Now it's time for a new owner to glide in a lovely 60s car with genuine Swedish history.

Facts about the model
