Description
When the car was delivered new, it was equipped with a B20 engine and a standard four-speed m40 gearbox. An electric overdrive was later retrofitted.
The engine was replaced by a later owner with a tuned B18 engine with close-ratio gearbox. Between 1983 and 2009, the car was owned by Mr. Westlin in Strömsund. He had the car repainted, but first he disassembled it and replaced everything that showed the slightest wear. Everything that needed to be replaced and more was bought from the local Volvo dealer in Strömsund or from Veteranprodukter. It was preferably original Volvo down to the smallest screw. He kept meticulous records of all actions in his binder, as a historical document and also an exciting history of the renovation. This binder, including inspection protocols from the vehicle inspection, instruction manual, and PV warranty certificate, accompanies the car. See the pictures for a selection of documents. The odometer reads 65 040 km, and reportedly has turned over. so the total distance could be 165 040 km. This was before the renovation, thereafter it has been driven sparingly.
