"This car has undergone extensive conversions and upgrades, resulting in a well-built vehicle that offers an enjoyable and user-friendly driving experience. Starting the car is effortless, and the powerful V8 motor produces an impressive sound. While it may take a moment to understand the manual gearbox, the reverse gear has a unique technical aspect. The car demands respect for its road handling and power, but under normal driving conditions, it remains easy to handle. It has successfully passed a new inspection/MOT, approving all its conversions, and is now permanently exempt from future inspections."

Description

This car was originally sold in Sweden and registered in 1963. It has had multiple owners over the years and comes with a wealth of older documentation (please refer to the pictures). One of the most intriguing aspects of this car's history is its conversion into a V8 car in the early 1970s. It earned the nickname "Cobra Killer" due to its exceptional performance on the drag strip, surpassing nearly everything at the time (please see picture).

The current owner purchased the car in 1992 when it still had its original 6-cylinder engine. However, it also came with a V8 327 engine, which was later refitted. Over the past 30 years, the car has been sold to friends of the owner until he repurchased it in 2010. Since then, the owner and his son have worked together to rebuild the car, enhancing its usability, reliability, and overall enjoyment. Encountering another V8 Healey is extremely rare, and the driving experience is simply wonderful. Even at 70% of its potential, with approximately 375hp+ and a weight of around 900kg, the car offers an exhilarating performance.

The interior of this car features standard components with the addition of extra gauges and a custom center and gearbox console. The comfortable seating has been upgraded to more racing-inspired leather seats, adding to the overall appeal and comfort of the interior.

In the 1970s, this car was repainted in a light blue color, resulting in a nice patina that complements its overall appearance. The alloy bodywork remains complete and straight, with minor marks around the rear wheel arches and small crack on the bonnet frame edge (see pictures). The car boasts good chrome details, original features, and a Ford V8 badge on the boot. An additional original boot lid is also included.

  • General condition:

Don't miss out on this iconic British racing car with American horsepower. It will bring a constant smile to your face and turn heads with its captivating sound.
