Description
It has been garaged for extended periods of time and has not been utilised by the owner during the winter. Alfa has been mostly cared for and serviced by AR-cars in Gärdet, Stockholm. In reality, the first known visit to an AR car occurred more than 37 years ago. It has a QV camshaft, which boosts performance. It has been through Alfa Romeo's Rust Protection Program and still has its original warranty and service book. From 1985 forward, there is a wealth of documentation.
Over the years, many parts have been replaced. The more expensive repairs have been the gearbox renovation, timing belt replacement, and radiator renovation. The delivery notes from the workshop cover the most of the work done.
When driven to 5,500 rpm, that V6 produces a wonderful sound. This tachometer, like many Alfa Romeo cars, is centrally situated on the dashboard as the most essential instrument.

Jeremy Clarkson säger att denna bil är på hans personliga 10 i topp lista över de många bilar som han har haft i sitt garage. Och den har det bästa motorljudet enligt Clarkson.
Det finns mycket att läsa om denna bilmodell i oräkneliga antal reportage som till exempel framgångarna under mitten på 80 talet i flera internationella banrace och rallyn. Den modell har även gjort sitt avtryck i filmhistorien som James Bonds flyktbil i Octopussy, då körd av Roger Moore.
1974 introducerades en coupé - Alfetta GT - med 1.8l motor. 1976 kom även modeller med 1.6l och 2.0l motorer, där den senare fick beteckningen GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce). Till 1981 genomgick serien en ansiktslyftning där bland annat de flesta exteriöra detaljer byttes från stål till gråsvart plast och bilen fick ett mer kontemporärt formspråk kombinerat med att Alfetta-namnet försvann. Samtidigt togs de två mindre motorerna ur produktion och en ny tillkom - den spektakulära 2.5l V6:an från Alfa 6. Denna modell betecknades GTV6, marknadsfördes som "turbodödaren" och tillverkades tills bilen togs ur produktion 1987. Under seriens livstid existerade även några mindre serier med andra motorer, bland annat GTV 2000 Turbodelta som tillverkades i en liten serie av Alfa Romeos racingavdelning Autodelta, och en tre liters V6:a tillverkad i Sydafrika.
