"A car in relatively untouched condition that should largely be in its original form. It has been used and has its blemishes but is also motor historically interesting and a nice car without modifications and upgrades. A genuine classic, simply put."

Description

According to records, this car has had two owners in the USA, the first one owned it for three years. Owner number two, a college student, bought it in the early 70s and kept it for almost fifty years, until retirement. On March 1st, 2018 a certificate was issued in the state of Ohio, at that time the car had gone 69171 Miles. In December of the same year, the car was pre-registered in Sweden. The current owner acquired the car in June 2019. Now the car has gone 70960 Miles, it has matching numbers with a 327 and an automatic transmission.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

The car has not been test driven and properly inspected underneath, but it started easily, sounded and ran as expected and appears to be in good mechanical condition. It has been driven relatively little in recent years and a check-up and service is recommended.

  • Interior condition

Chairs, door panels, carpets etc. are in good condition. Chairs are likely reupholstered. Instrument panel and other details are in good working condition. Functions for drop-leaf table and storage space work flawlessly.

  • Exterior condition

The paintwork is said to be in original condition, time has caused stone chips, scratches and paint loss but is overall in a nice patinated condition for its age. Chrome, glass, hood and other parts are in a nice condition. Wheels and tires likewise. Engine compartment is in a used condition and pop-up lights work well.

  • General condition

The Corvette has been an ingredient in The American Dream over the years. This car has a very nice and fine potential. A car to use and/or customize. Of course it is up to the new owner but the genuine condition, where much is still in original condition, definitely has its charm.

Facts about the model

The Corvette C3 was introduced in 1968 and built on the same chassis as its predecessor. Chief designer Bill Mitchell drew inspiration from the water world and named the model Stingray. This generation of Chevrolet's sporty Corvette became a real bestseller. In 1973, the new bumper was made of soft plastic and the following year was the last year with the Big Block. In 1975, the catalytic converter was introduced and the rear bumper began to be cast in one piece. The convertible version was discontinued in 1975. The Corvette C3 was produced until 1982.
