SAAB 99 Turbo — 1980

• Mechanical condition

  Some years ago, the car received a new clutch, head gasket, injectors, ignition leads, distributor cap, ignition coil, air and fuel filters, along with other service components. A new five-speed gearbox was also installed.
  
  The engine starts easily and feels as lively as it should — the turbo does its job and the gauges are functioning. The brakes operate evenly and effectively.
  
  The engine runs somewhat rough at idle and there is a suspected intake leak somewhere. The immobilizer is not functioning. The turn signals operate somewhat inconsistently, and the handbrake is completely inoperative.

• Interior condition

  The carpets and interior are complete and in generally good condition, showing some marks and stains but nothing out of the ordinary. The driver’s seat shows a bit of wear with some small tears on the side, while the rest of the upholstery remains in very good condition. The headliner has been replaced and presents well with no sagging.
  
  The trunk lining is missing.

• Exterior condition

  An older repaint that overall presents well, although the driver’s door shows a slight variation in shade. A few small bubbles have appeared over the years. The bumpers display some scuffs and age-related wear. The lower sections of the doors are in fine condition, and the rocker panels are likewise very solid and undamaged. There are a few minor dents, but overall the body is exceptionally sound and well preserved.

• General condition

  A car that gives a very good overall impression. The body is solid, and on the mechanical side several vital components have already been replaced. It does, however, require some additional attention to become a truly reliable car capable of delivering the unique joy of driving a 99 Turbo at full boost.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
