Description
The car has a good working sunroof and air conditioning. It has always been kept in the garage.
The current owner never drives the car in the winter. Instead, he parks it on trestles to take the pressure off the tyres and springs.
Because the oil cooler broke and caused the engine to stop working, Jaguar in Stockholm replaced it with a newer engine. The car is in great shape and clean with shiny original paint.

Works well in the engine and gearbox. The engine has been changed. The new engine has gone about 80,000 km, but the car itself has gone 94,870 km.

Slightly worn leather on the driver's seat backrest. Otherwise, the interior with wood panels is in a very nice condition

NIce original paintwork, with a few small dents on the doors, boot and bumper. See image for a rust bubble on the left rear wing.

Facts about the model
Eftersom de amerikanska myndigheterna i slutet av 1960-talet jobbade aktivt med att få bort de öppna bilarna från marknaden planerades det aldrig någon öppen version av XJ-S. Men i mitten av 80-talet började efterfrågan komma igen och Jaguar tog fram en tvåsitsig Targa. Först 1988 kunde man presentera den helt öppna versionen. Tidiga bilar var strikt tvåsitsiga men senare kom den med nödbaksäte.
Till en början fanns XJ-S enbart med 5,3-liters V12-motor men kom senare också med sexcylindrig motor. Modellerna fick en större modernisering i samband med att Ford tog över märket 1991. Många detaljer ändrades till enklare, billigare lösningar. Därefter kallades den XJS (utan bindestreck). 1990 års modell anses vara den sista riktiga, i många delar handbyggda Jaguaren.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. - During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
