The current owner purchased the car from an older gentleman in 2020. The previous owner had begun rust repairs but had paused the restoration for a while. He had planned to convert the car to a 12-volt system and install a B18 engine. When the current owner took over, he removed the 12-volt system and the B18 engine and restored the car to its original state with a 6-volt electrical system and a B16 engine.
The Volvo underwent a complete restoration, with many parts either refurbished or replaced. The engine, for instance, was restored and painted in its correct color before being installed in the car. Additionally, many other components were inspected and repaired as needed. The rust repair was completed, and the car was painted at Bilskadecenter in Lindesberg in 2021. It also received an underbody treatment, new tires, and a new exhaust system. A new interior was installed at the same time. The car has been stationary since the restoration. It was inspected and permanently approved on 2021-08-03.

Mechanical condition
The engine and drivetrain run well. There is a slight dry noise coming from the front of the engine, which might be from the water pump that was not replaced during the engine rebuild. The release bearing should be replaced as it makes a bad noise. The functionality of the cabin fan is uncertain.

The interior has been replaced and is in like-new condition. The dashboard, headliner, and floor mats are in excellent condition.

Professionally painted. In certain angles and lighting, the underlying work could have been better. Otherwise, the paint is glossy and in good condition. The chrome work is in excellent condition.
