Description
A Saab 96 Jubilee that has been in the same family since it was new in 1980. The car was purchased from MH in Eskilstuna. It has been well cared for and maintained over the years. The next owner in the family owned the car from 1985 and mostly used the Saab as a summer car for pleasure trips. Necessary repairs and regular maintenance have, of course, been performed, but the current owner doesn’t know the specifics. He inherited the car from his uncle’s estate in May 2024. It came to him because he had the means to store the car in a garage, as it was in good condition and needed to be preserved that way. It has been kept in a garage since at least 1991. The car has driven about 100 miles in recent years, so a service might be recommended. Some documentation, spare parts, and the original receipt are included with the car, see pictures. The car passed inspection on 2023-07-21.

Runs well in the engine (after it has warmed up) and drivetrain.

Interior condition
The interior is in okay condition with signs of use. There are some stains on the front seats and a small hole in the driver’s seat, see picture. The upholstery has come loose on the right A-pillar. The headliner is in okay condition. The dashboard is in good condition.

Exterior condition
Some rust is visible in the seams of the doors, trunk lid, and hood, see pictures. The rear bumper is somewhat discolored, see pictures. Four old tires on original steel rims and various spare parts are included, see pictures. Several keys are also included.

Facts about the model
The Jubilee model of the Saab 96 was sold as the 1980 model year, even though production ended in January of that year. According to Saab, 300 units were built. What was special about the model was the Aquamarine Blue metallic color, the blue plush upholstery, and the alloy wheels from German manufacturer Ronal.
All Saab 96s from the 1979 and 1980 model years were assembled at the Valmet factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland. These cars are easily recognizable by the black panel between the taillights and the black window trims.

The most significant updates came in 1974 with the introduction of the plastic grille and in 1975 with the large bumpers adapted for the US market. Mandatory emission controls were introduced in 1976. The large front indicator lights and redesigned taillights were added in 1978. Towards the end of production, the 96 also received Saab 99/900 seats with integrated headrests.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
