"Complete and good renovation object - a rare model today"

Description

The car has been stored since the late seventies. Barely ten years old, it was traded in at Matreco in Luleå and was then mainly kept in a warm garage. The meter reading of just under 100,000 km seems to be correct.

Presumably, this was a trade-in car that the current owner's father managed to buy from the car dealer. The Fiat, which was barely ten years old at the time, was probably considered outdated rather than old and worn.
In northern Norrland, the roads are not salted to the same extent, if at all, as in the coastal parts and southern Sweden. This means that the cars that have spent most of their life there tend to have minimal rust problems.

We understand that the car is in fairly pristine original condition. The paint has some minor repairs after stone chips and is slightly faded by the midnight sun.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Not started or tested so the condition of the engine and brakes are unknown.

  • Interior condition:

The interior has kept well. Mostly untouched with some sun fading and some wear found on the driver's seat. The headliner is completely fine including the door cards and panels as well. The steering wheel belonged in the 850 Sport but was probably already mounted at the dealer. The boot of the car looks complete and good.

  • Exterior condition:

For a 1969 Fiat, it has stood the test of time well. The paintwork is okay with some stone chips and scratches, probably partially repainted at some point. The chrome and trim are complete and fine. Rust is present on lower edges in small areas. A joint in the floor against the threshold also looks a bit questionable. The floor in general seems to have survived well by all accounts.

  • General condition:

Complete and may be described as a good renovation object.

Facts about the model
