Description
The Volvo 240 Classic was a commemorative model that was only built in 3,000 units in the final months, before production of the 240 models ended in May 1993. The 240-Classic can be recognized by the emblem on the rear and a wooden decorative strip on the dashboard, as well as painted chrome parts around the grill and above the headlights. In addition, these cars were only available in two colours, medium blue and burgundy metallic, with special wheels called Scorpius. This model has been driven in Dalarna until 2018 and has had five owners since new. The car has been an enthusiast car since the year 2000 and is in well-kept condition. No damage or rust. The car is Dinotrol anti-rust treated and properly serviced. It has extra inner liners in the wheel arches and also a tow bar and the optional Volvo stereo. Original documents and other documentation are included with the car. The cambelt was changed at 120,000 km, eight years ago. The last inspection was carried out on 2022-12-08 with no comments. Good road feeling, with no rattles, vibration or squeaks. The engine pulls strongly, the servo feels good and so does the gearbox.

Interior condition
Complete and fine interior without conspicuous traces of wear. There is sun protection film on the inside of the glass pane on the right rear door, unclear why. Relatively easy to take away.

Exterior condition
Body and paintwork in good condition, with a lovely burgundy gloss. The tyres have 50% tread remaining on the original wheels.

General condition
A pleasant and late representative for the model, as well as the seller, assures that the car has not been damaged or repaired, and that the meter reading is correct.

Just denna bil kan man läsa mer om i Teknikens Värld nr 3, 27 jan 2022. Bilen testades i duell mot sista Saab 900-modellen, då dessa två folkhemsklassiker båda slutade tillverkas under 1992/1993. "Mer klassiskt svenskt folkhem går inte att hitta", noterade tidningen efter att ha kört klenoderna.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
