Description
This bubble cab was purchased new by a VW dealer in Örebro and has been passed down through the family, from grandmother to son to grandchildren, with a family in the countryside outside of Örebro.
When the granddaughter turned 18, the family had the car restored at a Örebro workshop. The car was taken from its base plate and cleaned and painted in the same manner as the rest of the chassis. The body was repainted in its original color and received new wings. The car received new lights, bumpers, steps, and moldings. Top'n Trim replaced the convertible top on the car a few years later (the cost of convertible top refurbishment was SEK 24,000).
Since 2002, the car has been utilized as a summer car and has performed admirably. It's been in the barn all winter. Fahlke's Volkswagen service in Åmål has now completed a review and new inspection/MOT. Mechanical condition
It's been well maintained and runs fine. According to previous owners, the engine is a VW replacement engine that was installed when the car was about 7 years old owing to noise in the old engine. The new one inside has travelled around 700,00 km.

Interior condition
Complete and nice, no comments, however a little extra cleaning on the inside would improve the condition.

Exterior condition
Professionally painted in 2002, it's still in good condition, although if you look closely, you can detect some small blisters on the front canopy, as shown in the photo. Overall, the impression is positive, and the condition is normal.

General condition
A nice bubble cab with a known history and low mileage. Almost 20 years ago, it was more than SEK 100,000. To be truly nice, an internal recond is required. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. Car is in OK condition and is ready to drive home.

1973 kom den sista stora uppdaterade modellen av Bubblan, men rundad framruta och större baklampor. Detta var toppmodellen som byggdes i Tyskland och bara fram till 1975, då Golfen som börjat säljas året innan tog över.
Cabriolet modellen byggdes dock av en särkild leverantär, Karman i Osnabuck, på karosser från 1975, fram till 1979. De sista åren främst för USA-marknaden. I Sverige såldes Bubbla-cabben som 1303LS åren 1973 till 1975 och kostade nästan dubbelt så mycket som en vanlig bubbla. Få svensksålda finns kvar, då de såldes i litet antal.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
