Description
The car comes with a plethora of old documentation, receipts, the original bill of sale, and a complete set of service and handbooks (see photographs). Back in 1978, the car was taken to a professional bodyshop in Germany and had some body work repairs, rust protection underseal, and repainted to White from its original White Grey (DB158) Mercedes color, the hardtop included still has the original paint color, and the invoice cost was 3484 Deutche marks. A new fitted fabric roof, which still looks like new today, was also included. The receipt for the bodywork shows the mileage was 68,300 km dated 28.07.78 and the cars last inspection/MOT was in 1980-05-07 and then garaged a few years late, therefore the present mileage of 70,622 appears to be original. The sons also claim that their father only drove modest distances during the summer.
The car is in excellent condition, with no visible corrosion damage and only a few minor paint chips and a 2cm blister on the passenger wing "see pictures". The car will require one final inspection/MOT before it is inspection free for life. It will also require a brake system overhaul and a general overall assessment. It also includes a NOS Ferrita exhaust system.

Mechanical condition
The engine is clean and dry, and has recently had the fuel system cleaned, new gaskets and seals installed, and new spark plugs installed, so it starts straight away. The gears are good, but the brakes, as previously said, need to be overhauled. Some of the eight brake cylinders are jammed and must be properly freed, and the older rubber hoses must be replaced.

Interior condition
Interior is complete and authentic, with all period features, including a radio. The red leather details and seat are in good condition, but they have received a "shine" clear lacquer finish that would have been better original, but a specialist with considerable knowledge could correct it. Nice interior headliner and original hardtop included in fine shape, as well as sun visors.

Exterior condition
Repainted from White Grey to White in 1978 and still remains in good condition, a few minor paint chips, 2cm blister on the passenger wing and slight paint bubbles on the bonnet. The chrome work is good with only minor pours and still nice and shiny.

General condition
It's difficult to find a car with such an excellent documented history, sturdy bodywork, and a great appearance; with a brake overhaul and a general examination, I'd be pleased to drive it as is.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
