Borgward Isabella is regarded as one of the most beautiful German cars of the fifties. It’s Very unusual and sought after today, internationally speaking. Good and durable mechanics that is easy to renovate. There are plenty of spare parts. The engines had a 10,000-mile warranty from the factory (we estimate that this car has gone 170,000km). This car is Swedish sold and had the same owner until 1975. Then it changed hands from 1980 to 1996. The car has only had four users during its time. It has mostly driven around southern Sweden and been stored in a garage since 1996.
The car is in unusually good, complete but in a worn operating condition and has a rust hole in the front of the floor, on the driver's side (see pictures), but no visible holes in the body on the outside. Good overall impression and good car for a so-called rolling renovation.

Interior condition
There's a lot to do here. Door cards are loose and parts of the interior need a proper overhaul, cleaning and freshening. The floor mats seem to have done their part. But all the equipment is in place and the fine Blaupunkt original radio sits where it should be

Exterior condition
Nice bodywork with ok paintwork. All chrome work is worn but complete. There are rust holes in the floor at the front (see pictures). The front wings have been replaced with plastic one.

A reasonably well-kept copy of the highly sought-after coupé version adored by all the world's Borgward fans

Facts about the model
Modern bil när den presenterades 1954. Toppventilsmotor, individuell hjulupphängning runt om och självbärande kaross. Många tyckte också att bilen var tjusig och försäljningen tog snabbt fart. Kunderna uppskattade prestanda, komfort och vägegenskaperna. Sagan om Borgward och Isabella tog dock slut i en konkurs redan 1962. Då hade man tillverkat drygt 200 000 bilar.

Auction information
General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
