Description
This classic BMW has remained in the Enköping neighborhood for many years. It was purchased new in 1972 by a man born in 1899. When he died in 1978, it was passed down to his wife. She used it sparingly. Especially to see a friend in Stockholm. She let her local BMW workshop take over the car at the age of 87. Later, it was discreetly delivered to the workshop owner. The car was purchased by the present owner just over ten years afterwards. It is now sold since it is used too infrequently to warrant its garage space.
With its strong engine and automatic transmission, the BMW comfortably keeps up with today's traffic flow. The car is never renovated; instead, it is just maintained and, in some cases, repaired. It was repainted in 2017 due to clearcoat releases and minor paint blemishes.
Original metal rims with hubcaps, as well as chrome rings with slight wear, are included.
The odometer reads 59360 km and turns over al 100 000 km, implying that this car has traveled closer to 160 000 km. It has only driven 1120 kilometers between inspections in 2005 and 2015.

Facts about the model
BMW E3 som denna serie kallades tillverkade mellan 1968 och 1977. Den fanns med benämningar som 2500, 2800, 3.0 samt 3,3. De beskrev storleken på motorerna. Den aktuella bilen är en 3,0. Den modellen presenterades på den internationella bilsalongen i Geneve 1971. Från början hade den bara förgasare men senare under året kom 3,0 Si med insprutning.
Förgasarversionen med manuell växellåda klarade av sprinten 0-100km/h på 8,4 sekunder. Toppfarten angavs till 205 km/h.
