Description

The car was built in 1965 and sold new in Stockholm in April 1966. The engine was change to the 911S engine (manufactured in 1967) in 1974 with an approved change to the inspection and MOT registration in September of the same year. In this guise it rolled around in Gothenburg where the previous owner bought it back in 1979, during his student days at Chalmers. He drove a year and inspected the 912 in 1980, then cancelled it pending a renovation. This Porsche with its nice 2-liter engine has been patiently waiting renovated for 40 + years. The current owner bought the car a few months, but has still decided to sell.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

This is the most coveted 911S engine that is currently seized, and an engine like this should be fully refurbished. The current owner didn’t want to try and free the engine, precisely for this reason.

  • Interior condition:

The seats are surprisingly in good condition, although the driver's seat will need to be reupholstered. The remaining interior is usable and can be renovated. The car was order from new with the five sports dials with the five-speed gearbox.

  • Exterior condition:

Relatively whole in vital places, and the body is by all accounts in a good renovation condition with great potential. The wheels are period seventies vintage made by Swedish JP, and easily renovated.

  • General condition:

The 912 has a relatively simple construction and fitted with highly valued 911 engine. The car is in a sensible condition and replacement new and old parts are easily available to pruchase it’s a dream renovation with nice provenance.
