"The car runs smoothly in both the engine and transmission. It’s a vehicle that can be enjoyed as is, or for those who wish, there's room for some minor tinkering."

Description

This Graham Paige’s first registration number was W1471, and it was originally based in Orsa. According to other old registration documents that come with the car, it has also been registered in Gävle and Stockholm. If the car could talk, one would be fascinated to hear the stories it could tell. The current owner purchased the car in 2009 when the engine was completely disassembled, the transmission was removed, and the front axle was detached. The engine had been newly bored, the crankshaft freshly ground, and it came with new pistons, new connecting rod bearings, new main bearings, and a new timing chain. All of this was contained in several boxes at the time of purchase. The cylinder head was refurbished, the engine was reassembled, and it now runs very smoothly. At the same time, the brakes were renovated, and new tires were fitted all around. The car's interior is in its original condition, showing signs of wear and some stains. The paint is mostly original and has a patinated look with some rust, small scratches, and dents here and there. The speedometer and cable were refurbished by Instrument Jige AB in Leksand. The Graham Paige was ready for registration inspection in August 2012. The owner has used the car, among other things, to participate in a vintage car rally, which is about 120-140 kilometers long in Norberg every year. The owner has also used the car for leisurely drives around his home in Fagersta. The Graham Paige is inspected and ready for the future. A binder with extensive documentation regarding ordered engine parts from the USA and much other information about the car is included, see pictures.

Facts about the model

Already in the late 1920s, the competition among car manufacturers was fierce, and Graham Paige was considered one of the prestigious brands. Graham Paige prided itself on being at the forefront of technology, which in the late 1920s meant a six-cylinder engine, a three-speed transmission, and hydraulic brakes on all four wheels.

The Graham brothers initially made their fortune manufacturing trucks, but after a stint at Dodge, they began producing conversion kits for those who wanted to convert their Ford Model T into a tractor. However, they didn't stop there. In 1927, they started building their own cars.
