Condition

  • Mechanical condition

Starts easily and runs smoothly and quietly. Test driven with calm driving in residential and industrial areas as well as on main roads. Smooth, comfortable and straightforward driving with good pull when needed. Everything such as steering, clutch, gearbox, road holding and brakes in good working order.
Not inspected on a lift but what could be seen looked good. No comments during vehicle inspections.

  • Interior condition

Cosy, fine and well-preserved original interior. Good comfort in the seats and rear bench. Fine door panels, trim panels, headliner and carpets. Protective mats. Steering wheel, controls, dashboard and gauges in equally fine condition. All electrics function but there is some intermittent flickering with the pixels for the ACC system, which also needs to be refilled. Functioning radio unit. Outlets and auxiliary cab heater.

  • Exterior condition

Fine and well-maintained original paint in an unusual colour. There are stone chips and minor paint flaking on the bonnet, otherwise good. A small dent on the C-pillar that has been there for years. Minor rust indication on the "dog leg" lower rear left. Rubber, plastic, trim and lighting details in good condition. The badges have faded slightly. Fine BBS wheels with good Michelin tyres. Engine heater with outlet in the front.

  • General condition

These vehicles were recently a common sight on our roads but are now becoming increasingly scarce. Here is an opportunity to acquire a future classic that is in fine condition and in excellent low-mileage condition with good equipment - a vehicle that has much to offer its new owner.

Facts about the model

With the Saab 9-3, the manufacturer adopted the nomenclature style of type designation similar to the 9-5. The new 9-3 model was a further development of Saab's 900 version which was launched as a 1993 model year.

Generation 1 of the new 9-3 model, manufactured 1998-2003, was primarily a facelift of the earlier 900 model. New design of bumpers, new grille and a modified rear section, partly following a similar concept to the larger 9-5 model. The chassis and crash safety were also updated. Body versions included three- and five-door hatchbacks and a popular Cabriolet. Additionally, a powerful special model, the Viggen, was produced. The 9-3 model was a relatively popular mid-range car, which was both a practical and an agreeable road car with fine driving characteristics and classic Saab feel.
