Ford Eifel 1200 — 1937

The car was driven until the early 1960s and was repainted and then garaged until September this year. In the video below you can see with some effort it took removing it from a collapsed garage.

Description

This car had the same family ownership since the 1960s. The father of the current owner bought the car, and drove a little before it was stored in an outbuilding on the family farm near Arvika. It was freshly painted, waiting for a spare part, before it was due for the vehicle inspection. However, no such part ever appeared, so the car was left standing. (What was missing was a so-called knee joint, right front, which was the shock absorber at that time). The car worked well without the part, but Bilprovningen/MOT station couldn’t approve the car. Today, this part is available for purchase online for pennies, as it sat on many cars, including Ford and Opel.
A few years ago, an unusually snowy winter, the outhouse began to lean precariously from the weight of the snow. Last summer, the old owner's son and grandson decided to bring out the car. It was a bit of an exciting activity “as you see form the video below”. The car was in surprisingly good condition.

Facts about the model
