Description
The current owner has possessed the car since the fall of 2017 and has done little with it. The owner has changed the oil, filters, plugs, ignition cables, and some gaskets, among other things. When the car was serviced and the fuel system was serviced in December 2021, it was extensively inspected. Saab then received a new catch tank, fuel filter, value of turbo air intake to control control the pressure valve were both corrected. The car has never suffered with rust issues.
According to previous owners, the car spent some time in a SAAB dealer's showroom and was properly repainted. The beautiful Inca wheels were also refinished, and new tires were fitted.
The ownership history is evident, but there are no previous older inspection/MOT report.
The car stereo has been in use since the car's inception. The original back window shutter is included.

It works nicely in the engine and driveline. The boot lid springs have given up.

Interior condition
The interior is in decent condition with the exception of a stain on the back seat and a damage to the carpet in the driver's well, as shown in the images. In certain spots, the roof headliner hangs.

Exterior condition
In the paint, it looks great. Scratches are seen on the left side of the front spoiler. The edge of the left front wheel is scratched.

Facts about the model
När 99-serien debuterade den 22 november 1967 på Teknorama i Stockholm hade modellen 1,7-liters motorkonstruktion som köpts från engelska Triumph men ganska snart stod det klart att det var dags för en ny generation Saabmotorer. Motorgurun Per Gillbrand hade lämnat Volvo Personvagnar efter att utvecklat deras ”röda” motorserie med B20 i spetsen. Uppdraget hos Saab var att göra en än mer modern maskin.
”Scania-motorn” introducerades halvvägs in i modellår 1972 och blev startskottet på det som senare skulle bli Turboeran. Namnet ”Scania-motor” eftersom den sattes samman på Saabs motorfabrik i Södertälje. Den helt nya 2,0-motorn var kraftfull och bildade även bas till sportiga 99 EMS som också lanserades 1972.
De karaktäristiska ”fotbolls”-fälgarna ingick i EMS-utrustningen och gör att designen lyfter ytterligare.
De första 99-turbobilarna var ombyggda EMS. De ingick 1977 i det 100 bilar starka breddprovet som Saab utförde innan de satte ett turboemblem på saluvagnarna. 1978 presenterades äntligen turbon som en egen modell. Till en början var det endast Combi-Coupe'n som fick turbo. Som 1979-årsmodell fanns den endast i sedan version. 1980 fick den några smärre ändringar. Många exporterades och ett flertal återimporterades för att säljas under 1981.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
