"Thus car ticks all the right boxes. A superb drive—glides down the road and turns heads wherever it goes. Comes with extensive original service history, driving logbooks and inspection reports. Carefully maintained by Citroën enthusiasts with significant recent work completed. Ready to be enjoyed from day one."

Description

First delivered new by Citroën dealer Stever Bil in Malmö to its original Malmö-based owner. Original stamped service book up to 1974 (7,500 km).

Just four careful private owners, all clear Citroën enthusiasts. The first two were from the same family until 2002, followed by one long-term owner until 2023, and now a collector. Reluctantly offered for sale only to fund the completion of a Citroën SM restoration.

What makes this car truly stand out is its documented low mileage of just 139,000 km. Fully supported by original inspection reports and a detailed owner logbook running from 1980 to 1995, recording mileage, fuel fill-ups, and servicing throughout.

The car has attended notable Citroën events, including the 6th ICCCR at Knebworth (UK) in 1984 and the 10th ICCCR in Paris (1995)—a testament to its long-standing enthusiast ownership. It is also well known within the Swedish Citroën Club.

Respected Citroën specialist Dag Bever has inspected the car and recently serviced the suspension. Together, we can confirm this is a very well-sorted, rust-free example.

The odometer rolls over at 100,000 km — this one has completed one full cycle.

Extensively maintained with major recent work including:

Fully rebuilt engine (3–4 years ago, driven approx 2,000–3,000 km)
Rebuilt power steering
Rebuilt hydraulic pump
Rebuilt centrifugal regulator
New driveshafts
New water pump
New belts, oils, filters, fresh LHM and recharged spheres
Refurbished suspension struts
New brakes, etc.
Recently new Michelin tyres all round on refurbished wheels

Turn-key car – ready to drive and enjoy immediately.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

Starts instantly with a smooth, refined engine. The hydraulic suspension operates perfectly in all height settings, delivering a stable, composed ride. Strong brakes and a fully functioning BVH (Boîte de Vitesses Hydraulique) semi-automatic gearbox—no clutch—work exactly as they should.

The engine bay is exceptionally clean and well presented, a clear sign of careful maintenance. Inspection-exempt and ready to drive home. Sits on a great set of wheels with good tyres.

  • Interior condition

Clean, well-kept interior finished in Tabac brown leather with matching door cards, all in excellent condition. Only minor wear noted—a small 5 cm mark on the lower bolster of the driver’s seat (see pictures). Carpets and headliner are clean and tidy.

Equipped with a sliding sunroof and plastic wind deflector. The dashboard is in very nice order with original gauges, instruments and steering wheel, plus rear window blinds fitted.

Rear parcel shelf speaker is missing, however an additional Blaupunkt unit is included in the boot. The centre console for the radio is loose and simply needs refitting (two screws). Boot area is clean, tidy and complete with original tools.

  • Exterior condition

Presents exceptionally well with straight, clean panels and no obvious rust issues. Only minor blemishes—small paint blisters around the roof edges and rear window, a barely noticeable 2–3 cm dent on the front wing, a small dent on the lower left wing, and a few light stone chips on the door edges.

The paint is bright and tidy, likely older respray (30+ years), with only light age-related marks—minor micro-blistering on the boot lid and a small 10 cm scratch on the left wing. The underbody is solid with no signs of rust or previous repairs.

Bright, presentable chrome throughout with just a few minor marks.

  • General condition

An ideal car for any Citroën enthusiast seeking a reliable, well-kept example that can be enjoyed immediately. Comes with an extensive history file and receipts. The noted cosmetic imperfections are minor, not urgent, and do not detract from the car’s overall strong presentation.
