Description
The car is a model year 1991 with a 3.0-liter engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, featuring a silver metallic color. Originally purchased new in Germany in 1991, it was imported to Sweden in 2004. The current owner acquired the car in 2016 when it had approximately 27,700 miles on the odometer, meaning it hasn't been driven much per year during his ownership, about 100 miles in total. The car has spent most of its life in a garage since it came into the current owner's possession. There is a slight difference in paint shade on the front and both front fenders compared to the rest of the car. According to the owner, the Porsche has a fine electrically operated convertible top in working condition. During the photo shoot, it was raining, so the convertible top was never lowered. Also included is a convertible top cover, as seen in the picture.

Mechanical condition
The engine and drivetrain perform well. The brakes function evenly and effectively. Additionally, all peripheral equipment is reported to work properly by the owner. It includes a Pioneer Stereo and does not have power-hungry air conditioning.

Interior condition
There is wear on the driver's seat backrest, and the upholstery on both front seats is slightly cracked. There is damage on the right side entryway. Otherwise, the interior is in good condition.

Exterior condition
There is a color difference in the paint on the front and both front fenders compared to the rest of the car. Stone chips are present on the door mirrors. There is damage under the rear bumper, on the right side, as shown in the picture. The convertible top is in good condition but the headliner has been removed.

Facts about the model
Porsche 944 is a model produced between 1982-1991, serving as the successor to the Porsche 924. The model brought a series of improvements including widened wheel arches, engine enhancements, and improved brakes. The interior remained the same as the predecessor Porsche 924 until 1985 when the newer interior design was introduced. Cars from 1985 with the new instrumentation are commonly referred to as 1985B or 1985/2.
Initially, the engine was a front-mounted 4-cylinder 8V Porsche engine with a displacement of 2.5 liters, producing 163 horsepower. Like the 924, the 944 boasted excellent handling due to its near-perfect weight distribution.
In 1986, the turbo model Porsche 951 was introduced, featuring various improvements. Externally, the car was equipped with a new, more modern front end, which it later shared with the 944 S2.
In 1987, the 944S was introduced with a 16V engine producing 190 horsepower. In 1988, the special model Turbo S was launched, featuring a larger turbo, 250 horsepower, and a limited-slip differential. The following year, the regular turbo model also received the same performance enhancements.
In 1989, the 944S2 was introduced with a 16V three-liter engine producing 211 horsepower. The engine was the largest four-cylinder engine in series production at the time. The S2 shared the same body as the 944 Turbo, along with larger brakes and 16" Design 90 wheels. It could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time.
