Description

First registered in Germany on 2000-09-29, this Volvo C70 was imported to Sweden on 2003-02-19. The current owner acquired it on 2010-05-17 with approximately 120,000 km. Since then, it has been used exclusively during the summer months and now shows 230,066 km. The car has been professionally maintained by renowned C70 specialists Ånge Olsson in Orust and Patrik Hagel in Uddevalla. It comes with an extensive file of documentation and service history, reflecting the care and attention it has received over the years.

Several tasteful enhancements have been made, including clear lens headlights, an XC grille, US-style clear front indicators, and 2003–2005 model tail lights with the matching white center brake light. The original headlights, tail lights, and brake light are included in the sale. Also included are the original 17" Canisto wheels with tires.

Performance has been improved with a RICA ECU upgrade in June 2012, increasing output to 235 hp and 380 Nm. A strut brace has also been fitted for added stability.

A unique touch is the luggage rack mounted on the trunk lid, protected by a transparent film to preserve the paintwork. Included is a handmade Alstermo Bruk suitcase that fits perfectly on the rack—ideal for storing the wind blocker (also included) when traveling with more than two passengers.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car drives very well—engine starts instantly, runs smoothly, and the automatic gearbox shifts cleanly. Brakes are strong, and the overall feel on the road is tight and solid, clearly showing it has been well cared for. Fully serviced and not driven during winter since 2010. The cambelt was replaced at 211,842 km. It comes with two keys, and factory cruise control has been retrofitted. Also included is a full extra set of alloy wheels with tires in good condition. The car is inspected until 2025-08-31 and is ready to be driven home.

  • Interior condition:

Interior is complete and original, with all electric features in working order—including the windows, mirrors, roof, and air conditioning. It retains the factory radio with the Dolby sound system. As expected for this model, there is some wear on the buttons and switches.

The beige leather interior shows some wear on the driver’s seat bolster and typical dryness and cracking on the front seats. The wood trim, including the steering wheel and gear knob, is in good condition. The dashboard and instrumentation are fully functional, with no warning lights or pixel issues. Carpets, door cards, and headliner are all in good shape.

A thorough valet would lift the overall appearance, and the front seats would benefit from leather reconditioning to restore their original finish.

  • Exterior condition:

The bodywork is straight with well-aligned panel gaps and no signs of damage or rust. There is only a very small, soft dent on the upper rear wing—barely noticeable. The paint has a nice, glossy finish with just a few light marks and a minor scuff on the front bumper. The beige convertible top is in good condition, showing only some small scuffs and marks around the window edges on both sides, which is typical for this model.

  • General condition:

This is a very attractive car—both in appearance and in its history. Well known within the C70 club, both the car and its owner are recognized by the community, as are the specialists who maintained it. You're not just buying a car, you're buying something special with a story and reputation to match.
