Motala Motormuseum needs to free up some space and now it’s time to sell it old faithful, well-known helper. This Ford F100 came to Sweden in the early 1990s and has been in dry climate in the United States earlier
The car has been re painted a long time ago and the paint work is now worn. The upholstery at some time been refurbished with new fabrics, but now need a good clean. Especially the bench seat is worn, mechanically; the car works well with the original straight six-speed and three-speed column shift.
This so-called half-toner is by Ford's second generation, which was manufactured between 1953 and 1956. Compared to the predecessor, it got the longer hood and the classic grill. The cabin was also new with larger glass sections.

Recovered door panels, head liner and bench seat. Retro fitted extra instruments, loose console. The bench seat has clear traces of use, but nothing a blanket won’t fix.

Facts about the model
For the 1953 model year, an all-new version of the F-Series made its debut. Increased dimensions, improved engines, and an updated chassis were features of the second generation.
Additionally, a change to the F-Series naming scheme would remain in place to the present day. The half-ton F-1 became the F-100 (partially influenced by the North American F-100 Super Sabre); the F-2 and F-3 were combined into the F-250 while the F-4 became the F-350. Conventional F-Series trucks were F-500 to F-900; COE chassis were C-Series trucks
