Description
Century was the fourth largest American boat factory after the Giants Chris Craft, Gar Wood and hacker Craft. Since they did not have a chance to compete in the form of number of built boats, the design became their weapon. Where the big three were traditionalists, daring Century designers take out the turns sharply and with the help of form and color, creating runabouts for those who dared a little more. The first two years after World War II, the shipyard's production was still quite as shaped by the lines that prevailed before the war. But to the model year 1948, the shipyard launched a brand new model of its runabout Sea Maid. With playful tyre design and a tighter alignments on the hull, an incredibly delicious racer was created that was very positively received on the market. This boat came to Sweden about 10 years ago and has for the 2018 season received a proper inspection and the hull was sealed, interior was renovated and the engine got itself a lighter walk, so that Båte now is in a very good condition.
