Description

Heinkeln was purchased new in Eskilstuna by the current owner, who also happens to be my older twin brother and he has a background in the magazine Teknikens Värld. It has been on several tours with the HejhmedPeter, Kravall Jazz Orchestra while in my care (film and photos). We played and drove around with these cars on Österlen, Gotland, and Bohuslän, as well as in Småland, Hamburg, and Berlin. The auction car has been on the majority of the tours, but it took a break during the Berlin trip.

I've spent a lot of time working on ongoing maintenance and servicing. Also after a traffic accident, made sure to have the engine rebuilt and the body painted. The car is newly inspected and thus inspection-free when it is delivered.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine was restored in Sweden ten years ago by a German member of the Heinkel-Club Deutschland. It has a rebored cylinder, a new piston, a top with valve guides, a Dynastart (combination generator and starter motor), and a swing bushing made of brass. Brakes, gears, and the accelerator must all be used in the way that this car prefers, or it will protest. If the buyer is unfamiliar with driving a Heinkel, I am willing to provide some driving tips.

  • Interior condition:

The carpet and side upholstery are original, and the seat is upholstered in a tartan fabric similar to the original. Furthermore, the roof hood is relatively new, and the car comes with a fine mechanical original watch from Kienzle as well as an original luggage rack. We created this railing in a small series as it was required for tuba and washboard transport during jazz tours.
The squirrel and bear on the inside rear window were glued there by the first owner early in the car's life.

  • Exterior condition:

15 years ago, it was repainted in the original Coral red color. The bumpers were also rechromed. The car was never rusted or welded. There is no rear window in the pictures because the rubber strip was worn in a corner and needed to be replaced. We are awaiting a new list from Germany and will assemble it once it arrives.

  • General condition:

A correct, neat, and original faithful Heinkel Cabin with a lot of history and image documentation. During the time when we did a lot of jazz on three wheels, it was a reliable player.

Facts about the model
