Description

This Pick up has had the same owner from 1984 to 2002. Previously owned by a Stockholm company as a practical extra car and was drive 80,000 km. The Pickup is currently owned by VW enthusiasts that only drove it 25,000 km. The car is neat and tidy without damage or rust damage. A few paint chips, paint touch ups and small surface rust can be found mainly on the front bumper mount. The passenger door has been repainted at some point, but the rest of the paint work is original.
Nice to drive will need a new vehicle inspection, been decommissioned since 2015 so a service is also needed.

Facts about the model

The Volkswagen Bus and pick-up models; Type 2 (T3) was the third generation of the Volkswagen Transporter and was marketed under various nameplates worldwide – including the Transporter or Caravelle in Europe, Microbus in South Africa, and Vanagon in North and South America. It was larger, heavier, and more angular in its styling than its predecessor, the T2. The T3 was manufactured in Germany from 1979 until 1990. Production of the 4WD (mostly for official use, like postal service or German army) continued until 1992 at Puch in Graz/Austria, where all 4WDs had been built. South African production of the T3 continued, for that market only, until 2002. The T3 was the final generation of rear-engined Volkswagens. The T3 buses has a large cult following, especially the Westfalia camper version. The Pick-Up are very rare these days as they often had a hard life carrying heavy loads for small companies.
