"Fully renovated more than 35 years ago, it is still in great shape and is maintained by knowledgeable Volvo enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the rain forced us to photograph it inside the barn where it is stored; it starts and runs well and has side pop out blinkers."

Description

The dealer first owned and sold this truck in 1942. It was reserved for the fire department but was cancelled and sold to the Swedish Army, where it was converted into a water tank for the army fire service. Skåne Fire Department took over the truck in 1943 and used it until 1956. It was purchased privately in 1956 and fully renovated and converted into a flat bed truck with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and skilled knowledge. The renovation was completed in 1986. The current owner purchased the truck in 2013 and is now selling it on behalf of his estate. Only driven locally and primarily for special vintage truck shows, it start directly and runs and drives fine with heavy steering, and it is been fully maintained by the owner and friends who know everything there is to know about this truck. According to the owner's friend and an older driving log, the mileage of 31865km is correct, but this cannot be confirmed.

Good grey vinyl seats with nice wooden door cards and trim. The dashboard has nice paintwork, as well as good instruments and a search light. A crack in the left side windscreen.

The paintwork and details are in good condition and only need a wash and polish. Excellent condition dropsides and a wooden flatbed

  • General condition:

This is a well-kept and fine vintage truck that is ideal for collectors. It is simple to remove the cab dent without damaging the paint.
