"Incredibly fine PV that runs perfectly and makes an excellent impression both inside and out. A fun detail is that the roof semaphore is preserved."

Description

This car was bought new in November 1952 by train driver Axel Gustafsson, grandfather of the current owner. It was equipped with most of the extras available at the time, as his son Kurt was warehouse manager at the Volvo dealership.

In March 1956, Kurt bought the car from his father and used it sparingly over the years, always keeping it in a garage when not in use. In 1974, the car was taken off the road and placed in a multi-car garage where it remained for several years. In the early 1980s, Kurt decided to have the car repainted, as it had acquired scratches and blemishes while in storage; at the same time, the headliner was reupholstered.

Kurt passed away in 2019, and his wife inherited the car but drove it very little. Upon her passing in 2024, their son Åke took over ownership and carried out a service and reconditioning. The car is in fantastically fine and well-preserved original condition, accompanied by extensive documentation.

All tax receipts since the 1950s have been preserved, along with the owner’s manual, inspection records, and radio license.
