Description
The speedometer is graduated in both miles and kilometers, with the odometer in miles. It currently reads 1,397 miles, which is approximately 225 Swedish miles. The total mileage is unknown. The fact that the car is right-hand drive adds to its English and exotic feel, in a positive way.

Facts about the model
Behind the Silver Shadow was an extensive development effort that culminated in one of the world's best cars at the time. It featured a self-supporting body, a significant reduction in size, and modern technologies such as front disc brakes, independent suspension, and automatic level control through a hydraulic system, produced under license from Citroën. The decision to make the cars smaller and incorporate more driver-assist and enjoyment technologies was driven by the intention for these vehicles to be driven by owners themselves rather than private chauffeurs.
During its presentation at the London Motor Show at Earls Court in the fall of 1965, the Silver Shadow and Bentley T became major talking points. The crowds in the exhibition halls were immense. As sales gained momentum in the spring of 1966 and more automotive journalists and owners had a chance to drive the new vehicles, the response was highly positive.
Over time, there were both upgrades and improvements. Different body lengths were produced, open-top cars and coupe versions were introduced. However, with the adoption of self-supporting bodies, it became harder to build special models by external firms as had been done previously. In total, 41,513 cars based on the Silver Shadow platform were manufactured between 1965 and 1995.
