Description
This green DAF 66 was purchased new in Kristinehamn in 1974 and has remained loyal to Värmland ever since. The metre shows 61750 km, but it could be 161750 km.
The car has mostly been driven by five people. The car is being sold for a collector who is downsizing his car collection. A binder containing instruction manual and older registeration papers, a spare wheel, and a jack is included.
The continuously variable variomatic transmission, which is truly fully automatic with its centrifugal clutch and V-belt drive in nice combination with differential lock, is a unique feature of this car. The car moves forward when you push the lever forward. When you pull the lever backwards, the car moves in the opposite direction, at the same speed as it moves forward. A fun and quirky vehicle that the Swedish people quickly dubbed Remjohan.

Mechanical condition
Equipped with 1.1 liter four-cylinder in-line engine of 47 hp and Variomatic automatic transmission. The car starts easily and the variomatic works fine. The car has been parked since 2019, it has been started and driven regularly around the yard for exercise. The tires have some dry cracks and new ones are recommended. Otherwise, only a simpler review is needed before the inspection. After an approved inspection, the car is then exempt from inspection according to the 50-year rule.

Interior condition
Complete and nice dashboard, nice door sides and headliner. The seats have previously had seat covers fitted and are in good condition for their age. Some sun-bleached fabric at the top of the back seat. See the pictures.
Equipped with working period-typical Blaupunkt car radio. Nice trunk with original rubber mat. -
Exterior condition
An older repaint that has performed well. The colour of the right front wing is slightly different. There is minor surface rust on the left edge of the wings and on the rear number plate, as shown in the photos. The car was rusted and had visible repairs in the engine compartment in 2004. A small dent has appeared in the front wing and on the right door. On the driver's side, there are stone chips in the windshield.

Rare good representative of Volvo's Dutch history. Fully drivable. Soft dents on the driver's side, which can be fixed without paint. Good overall impression.

Facts about the model
Från årsmodell 1976 ändrades namnet till Volvo 66 och bilen tillverkades med små förändringar ända fram till 1980. Bilen efterträddes av Volvo 340, som även den var en konstruktion som Volvo ärvde från DAF.

Important to know before placing your bids!

- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
