Description

The car is temporarily mounted in order to create a visual representation of what is included with the project. The wings are custom-made for Greyhound speedsters and are brand new. T-Ford companies in the United States build them, and other body parts such as the hood and radiator appear to be new. The radiator, which was not in the standard range but had to be specially ordered, is what makes this car so appealing. This type of cooler has always been in high demand. It also has two Edmunds & Jones headlights and a taillight that were standard for saving weight, which is the whole point of Speedsters. The lanterns are in excellent condition for their age and run on acetylene/carbide. The chassis has been renovated and is now equipped with an engine, a rear axle, and a front axle. Everything appears to be in good condition. The engine is said to have been renovated, but no documentation is available. (You can see that the engine has a new cylinder head gasket, for example.) It's an early T-Ford engine with two engine flaps on the side and an aluminum early model gearbox without a starter motor. This is typically appropriate for the Speedster, and the gearbox without the starter motor weighs approximately 9 kg less than later T-Ford gearboxes. The engine is a standard 20-horsepower unit, and the gearbox is full and half speed, just like on the T-Ford. The car requires some work to assemble the body, manufacture smaller body parts, and install a new seat. The existing seat was salvaged from an old horse-drawn carriage. Wings must be installed, and running boards must be constructed.
