"Its a super rare opportunity to own a 1930´s BSA with 2 cylinder air cooled engine. Not a very complication renovation project, just need to hunt around in the UK for some parts with the BSA owner club."

Facts about the model

Although the BSA three-wheeler introduced in 1929 never achieved the popularity of its great rival the Morgan, its ingenious design had many good points, not least of which was its chassis layout. Few cars in the late 1920s were front-wheel driven, even fewer had independent front suspension, yet the little BSA had both.

Four quarter-elliptic leaf springs on either side were the springing medium and the hubs were driven by independently jointed shafts from a three-speed and reverse transmission ahead of the transversely-mounted, V-twin engine. The single rear wheel was mounted on a single, leaf-sprung arm to make wheel changing simple - with the Morgan the twin drive chains had to be unshipped before the wheel could be removed - and the unorthodox chassis was shaped like a three-pronged fork.
