The first owner, who lived in Småland, lovingly used and cared for this excellent Amazon until 1984, when it was sold to a private person in Nybro, who began renovations. The renovation was halted, and the present owner purchased the car in 2018. The car had been largely dismantled, yet it was not rusty or damaged in any way. The car was totally dismantled by the current owner, who then had the body and all accompanying details thoroughly painted to match the original version. The engine, gearbox, and rear axle, as well as the brakes, carburetor, and cooling system, were all renovated. The original design was used to reupholster the seats. Carpets, headliner, mouldings, door cards chrome parts, and other items were either replaced or renovated. The renovation took place from 2018 to 2021, and the end result was a car in perfect show condition. Furthermore, it is completely drivable, with no squeaks or vibrations, and an engine that purs like a cat. The owner has previously restored a number of Volvo cars that have received numerous honours. He'd always wanted to purchase a first-generation Amazon because it has a stunning looks.

Mechanical condition
It has been thoroughly examined. Everything has been renovated or is brand new. In addition to everything we detailed above, the chassis looks brand new, as is the tank, tyres, and exhaust system. The speedometer was also restored. The mileage on the odometer is 51253 km. We haven't been able to ascertain how far the car has travelled, but we estimate that it has travelled 15100 kilometres.

Very nice bodywork with straight and fine metalwork. All doors and bonnet shut line are correct. Professional repaint with perfect paint.

General condition
This is one of Sweden's top Amazons, in our opinion. Even the one-of-a-kind gear lever knob, which was only available for the first year model, is still in place. Just wanted to congratulate whoever wins this car.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
