Description
The current owner's father bought the car in 1994, and it previously belonged to two car dealers. According to the present owner, it was delivered new in June 1987 to its original owner and was solely used as a summer car. The car spent a significant amount of time in storage in the past 16 years, it had barely travelled a few hundred kilometres.

Engine, gearbox and brakes work fine, feel good, sound good and do what they are supposed to. Same with all electrical equipment, no faults there either. Recently had a major service,

Interior condition
Nice, well-groomed dark red leather upholstery, good carpets and a generally fresh feeling in the interior. A little bubbly vinyl over the glovebox door.

Exterior condition
Good paint, no damage, but a little clear coat paint release and plastic scratch on the bumpers. Unusually nice convertible top, no holes or wear. The hard and color-matching hood covers are intact and are reportedly almost never fitted. The right door has a couple of easily fixed surface rust spots on the lower rubber strip.

Representative and right in every way. The history, documentation and condition, for a new owner is just to preserve and nurture. And to drive, of course.

Facts about the model
Saab 900 Cabriolet visades på Frankfurtsalongen 1983 – en nyhet som fick motorpressen att gå i spinn. En fyrsitsig cabriolet utan startbåge var stort och första året 1986 såldes knappt 400 exemplar i USA. Året efter när 900 kom med den sluttande fronten fanns cabrioleten för alla marknader – och som tidigare tillverkades den i Finland.
Sammanlagt byggde det 48 880 Saab Cabriolet fram till 1993. De sista två åren hade de airbag och ABS.
Saab 900 Cabriolet fanns både med och utan turbo, och från 1988 är turbon vattenkyld. Tuffaste varianten är 16S Cabriolet med Aero-look. Genom åren har Saab 900 Cabriolet nyttjats flitigt i filmer och tv-serier. Bland annat förekommer den i High Fidelity och i komediserien Seinfeld.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
