Volvo 944 S 2,3 LTT — 1996

• Mechanical condition

  A familiar and well-balanced feel in both engine and gearbox, with pleasant torque; the small turbo clearly transforms the character of the B230 engine. Two timing belt changes have been carried out — in 2012 at 54,820 km and again in 2016 at 94,860 km. Very short intervals, to say the least, both in terms of time and mileage.

• Interior condition

  Neat, complete and clean with nice seats, although a light interior clean and wipe-down would further enhance the overall impression. Good headlining, carpets and door panels, except for the model’s classic issue of plastic shrinkage along the upper sections of the doors. Original stereo with instruction manual and a few old cassette tapes included for enjoyment.

• Exterior condition

  Smart and glossy in presentation. The car has been partly repainted on the roof, bonnet and boot lid after the clear coat had started to peel on those panels. A new windscreen has also been fitted. As is common, the plastic bumpers show some scratches and slight variations in shade. A simple and inexpensive trick that many use is to rub them with coconut oil. Newer Nordex budget tyres from 2022 are fitted at the front, and slightly older Michelin tyres from 2011 at the rear, on good original wheels with a few minor kerb marks. A tow bar was fitted a few years ago, and the car is officially registered and approved with it.

• General condition

  At the intersection between a collector’s car and a daily driver, as many enthusiastic Volvo owners are happy to continue using a faithful old workhorse for longer. This car has the potential for both categories, but with a bit of minor work—mainly to the interior—it may be better suited to the collector side.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
