Description
Testi models were also built under licence in France by Gitane and marketed as Gitane-Testi. In Sweden, they were sold by the Standard concern under its own brand name, while in Germany the historic Horex name was revived to market a range of stylish and eye-catching Testi-Horex models.
This particular bike spent its early life in the Netherlands, where it was fully renovated over ten years ago. It was purchased by the current owner eight years ago and added to his moped collection. Since then, it has only been lightly used and has mostly been kept in storage. The moped will be delivered fully serviced and ready to ride.
Overall, the bike presents in excellent condition throughout. The only deviation from standard is the fitment of a smaller seat; a larger seat that wraps over the tank was more standard.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
All mechanical components are in excellent condition. The bike was not started during the photo session, as it has not been run for several years, but it will be fully reviewed and serviced prior to delivery. The only noted imperfections are two small, older scratches on the engine cover. It is also fitted with its original chrome hand pump, and the speedometer is in MPH rather than KPH.
-
Interior condition
Good rubber handgrips and foot pegs, complemented by a nice seat.
-
Exterior condition
A super cool-looking moped finished in its original silver paintwork with orange accents, showing no signs of dents, damage, or rust — a condition that is equally reflected in the paintwork. All chrome details, including the wheels and spring trim, are bright and shiny throughout.
-
General condition
Beautifully designed with a mini café-racer style, this moped oozes charm and character. Riding it, you’ll feel like the king of the road — and when not in use, it would look just as good displayed in an office or living room.
