The car was delivered in March 1997 and was used as a representative car at a consulate in Sweden for nearly ten years. It has had two owners since then, both of whom utilized it as a second car and a collector car. It has been lent to Volvo Heritage as a reference car for training and other purposes throughout the last year.
The model was introduced in 1994 (960 and S90) and manufactured in 1998. Volvo enthusiasts regard it as the best rear-wheel drive Volvo ever produced. A number of enhancements over the simpler 940 model made the 960, and eventually the S90 model, a true luxury car with a referred to as a 3-liter straight 6-cylinder engine with 24 valves. Other rear axle suspension, improved interior, upholstery, and insulation, and a new design (from 1995) with more integrated lighting and bumpers, door handles, and moldings that give the car a very exquisite appearance.
This car is in better condition than usual. The car has never been damaged or corroded, and the majority of the paint is original. The light leather interior has been meticulously cared for and is currently in excellent condition. The car has 21,000 kilometers on it and has been professionally serviced. Drives well in terms of braking, engine, and gearbox. There is no rattling or vibration. On the road, he is steady, alert, and silent. Really great engine with plenty of torque.

Facts about the model
Årsmodellerna 1997-98 byggdes inte på den normala produktionslinjen utan monterades ihop för hand av avdelningen "Special Vehicles" på Volvo-Torslandaverken och anses därför ha högre kvalitét än bilarna innan. Hösten 1998 ersattes modellen av helt nya S80, med framhjulsdrift.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
