Description
The current owner bought this car about 4 years ago, it was in good condition and not rusty but the paint was worn so he decided to prepare the car for a full renovation. The engine was removed for a full renovation and the car was repainted in its original color. While the car was being prepared for repainting they discovered some small rust spots in the floor on the driver's side and under the seat on the passenger side, this was repaired and at the same time the sill boxes were changed. The décor was in good condition which is why it was only cleaned. Furthermore, new original turbo shock absorbers were fitted forward.
This copy has a lot of original equipment sunroof, working AC, 4 electric windows, central locking, electric rear view mirrors, armrests with cup holder, etc.

Facts about the model
Volvo 240 turbo kom som årsmodell 1981 & var volvos första personbil med turbo motor. Den hade en 4 cylindrig B21E motorn på 155 hk & M46 överväxellåda. Utvändigt såg Turbon nästan lika dan ut som som GLT:n, med mattsvart lackad plåt mellan bakljusen. Strax under sidorutorna satt över lacken en 4 cm mattsvart dekorlist. Grillen var svartlackad lixom alla lister, strax över midjelistena runt om bilen löpte en svart tunn stripe. Precis som GLT & hade modellen fått de bredda nya 6-fälts bakljusen. Skillnaden mellan GLT & Turbon utvändigt var “Turbo” emblem bak i grillen & de 15 tums (turbo) Virgo aluminumsfälgar med lågprofilsdäck 195/60 HR 15. Turbon fanns till skillnad mot övriga modeller endast i tre olika färger: vinröd metallic, silver metallic & svart metallic.
En annan skillnad från dom andra modelerna i 200-serien var att modellen bara kunde fås med manuell låda. Vilket betydde att automatlåda inte ens gick att få mot extra betalning. Allt för att försöka ge bilen en så kul & sportig kör upplevelse som möjligt. 0-100km/h gick på 9 sekunder blankt & toppfarten låg på 197 km/h. Vilket var väldigt snabbt för sin tid. Turbon hade precis som GLT:n gasstötdämpare bak, grövre krängningshämmare fram & något lägre sport fjädring för bättre väghållning. Invändigt hade turbon vit plyschklädsel med silvertrådar & stolkomforten tillhörde likt övriga modeller i 200-serien på den tiden till en av marknadens absoluts bästa. Dörrsidorna var svarta med inlägg i silverplysch, innertaket var också svart precis som alla mattor & plastpaneler.
240 Turbo var också med tidigt 1980-talsmått en lyxig bil. Invändigt fanns en mindre ratt med “Turbo” emblem, laddtrycksmätare och digitalklocka med alarmfunktion. Hastighetsmätaren var graderad ända upp till 220 km/h. I övrig standardutrustningen ingick exempelvis sollucka, färgade rutor runt om, nackskydd med mjuka kuddar fram & bak, eluppvärmd förastol & servostyrning mm. Många bilar var också extrautrustade med elhissar & aircondition. Men som övrig utrustning att beställa till fanns tex ockå skinnklädsel, elspeglar, centrallås & farthållare.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
