The car was taken to Sweden in 2004 and owned by people who have taken good care of it. The current owner bought it in 2011 and used it sparingly until autumn 2015. The car is delivered newly inspected.

Facts about the model

Bentley Turbo R saw the light of day in 1985, but the story goes further back than that. Already at the Geneva Motor Show in 1982, Bentley Mulsanne Turbo was exhibited with glittering garnish in the photoblash spoon. It was an early sign of a burgeoning confidence in Bentley, who for many years managed to make emblem designs on big sister Rolls-Royce products. With Mulsanne Turbo, they had finally got a model that did not have their equivalent in the Rolls-Royce range.
Although the body was the same as the R-R.
Thus, Bentley had distanced himself from the old tradition of specifying the engine power as "adequate". Now it was more than adequate and with a Garrett turbocharger, the power of the 6.75-liter V8 had been increased by half. From what? From "enough", of course - turbo notwithstanding, the factory did not release any power data.

But if the engine was capable of creating and destroying mountain chains of its own power, the chassis did not hang. Bentley Mulsanne was moving like in the sea when the turbo was called. This is where Turbo R comes in, the sea sick pill that was launched in 1985. R stood for "road holding", ie road holding, and the recipe included stiffer anti-roll bars and more supportive shock absorbers. The result was a car that steamed on like a locomotive, whether the road was straight or crooked.

For thirteen years, the model had to live, until 1998, before being replaced by the less straight-backed Bentley Arnage. Of course, over the years, the Turbo R got to take part in one and another update, such as the introduction of fuel injection in 1987 and the change from a three-speed automatic transmission to a four-speed 1992.

There are more reasons to escape on a Turbo R. One is the price level. So far it is reasonable, a sensible copy costs between SEK 200,000 and 300,000 and maybe even less if the steering wheel is on the wrong side. But it was cheaper a few years ago and climbing will continue in the future.
